How to Export Video from Premiere Pro CC // Beginner

March 10, 2015 by John David Wright in Beginner, Creative, Post Production, Video

Sometimes the most complicated part about learning to edit video is knowing what settings to use while exporting. What codec should I use? What container? Bitrate? Frame rate? In this post, I'm going to cover how we export video to play in our church services on Sunday mornings.

Here's a link to a 720p and 1080p H264 preset file.

To install these presets on a Mac, put them in this folder: Documents > Adobe > Adobe Media Encoder > 8.0 > Presets

To install on a PC, put them in this folder: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\AME\8.0\Presets

UPDATE: The download link now includes preset files for Creative Cloud versions CC14 - CC18. To find the folder for your different CC version, replace the [8.0] above with the corresponding version number:

  • CC14 - 8.0
  • CC15 - 9.0
  • CC16 - 10.0
  • CC17 - 11.0
  • CC18 - 12.0
